Today, let's talk about moisturizers. For you, how important is a moisturizer? 

For sure, some of you would say, moisturizing is unnecessary for the humid climate we have here in the Philippines. I even thought before that moisturizing is only good for dry skin and not for my oily skin. So I decided to do some research about it and I tried going out experimenting my looks with and without moisturizer. That's when I realized the difference.

Let's first talk about moisturizers and its benefits. 

What are moisturizers?

Moisturizers help lock our skin's natural moisture throughout the day. We are exposed in harmful rays of sun everyday and this will cause skin to dry and loose moisture. Moisturizers hold the water in our skin that's why it is an important step in our skin care regimen and it also plays a vital role in our makeup routine. Moisturizing products work in two ways. It absorbs the water from the air around us as well as it fills in spaces between our skin cells to make our skin appear smoother.

Contrary to popular belief, moisturizing is recommended for all skin type. Just because you think you have oily skin and your face doesn't need any extra moisture, you won't need moisturizers. Then think again. You might haven't notice the effect now, but soon enough fine lines will be visible too early than you expect. Just because you under estimated the power of a moisturizer. All you have to do is to find the right formula for your skin type. There are moisturizing products that targets your skin's specific needs. Don't just bring home any moisturizer you find in the market. Do your research and read testimonies about it.
